Today (or well, yesterday) was the kickoff of the holiday season in our household. Now, don’t get me wrong, I started watching Christmas movies in October and had Christmas music on my radio in early November with our tree and decor up right after Thanksgiving. The husband can definitely attest to my love of this time of the year.
But I spent most of the day cooking and preparing for our small Christmas get together at our house and loved every minute of it. This year I tried a couple of new recipes and even was brave enough to make guacamole from scratch — yummy!
Chubby Hubby Bars was a first this year:
A cookie bar filled with mini reese cups and pretzels topped with caramel and chocolate? Yes please!
I saw these Pizza Puffs on Pinterest and had to try them out.
They were super easy and made me : )

And why yes, I made it again this weekend. And yes, friends took some home with them. I still can’t decide if it’s a dessert or side dish, does it really matter though? It’s yummy enough to suffice for both!
Now if I could only find mini pre-made pie crusts I’d be set on the next step of my baking extravaganza!
