As Richard + Samara walked around the corner, their close family and friends stood to their feet. A brief pause before walking down the aisle together to the alter, they held hands and looked at each other. It was a just a moment, a small moment, before they walked towards their new chapter together.
Richard + Samara’s wedding was made of up these sweet little moments all throughout the day. Their wedding day was so thoughtfully planned to make up special events for both of them to share that day.
The first look took place in the Wells Fargo building in Uptown Charlotte. Rich stood in front of a large paned glass window as Sam came down the steps, dress flowing down each step, to greet her groom. It was a little bit magical, but also serene. As Charlotte moved along behind them through the window, they stood with each other, taking in the moment.
Shortly after family portraits, we headed back to their house to take photos with their sweet Yorkie, Lily. This was such a special time for their little family. A few puppy snuggles and a lot of Lily time was exactly what Sam wanted that day and I wouldn’t have planned it any other way.
Sadly, since their wedding day, sweet Lily has crossed over the rainbow bridge. Thick as thieves, Lily and Sam spent many, many years together with Rich joining right in to create their family. If you have a moment, send a warm thought their way. Losing a best friend, a family member is a heartache that lasts for a while. I’m so thankful to have shared in these special times with them.
Rich + Sam’s wedding day was full of creating memories and celebrating a new chapter. It was a day packed full of their favorite things and their favorite people + so much happiness. At the end of the reception, right before their exit, they had one last dance with no other guest in the room, only the two of them. It was such a special last touch to end the day and start their new chapter together.
