The golden sunshine spilling through the kitchen window highlighted her blonde curls. She took a slice out of the watermelon with one of those kid-friendly knives, but it still made her feel like she was getting the job done. The juice of the watermelon started to spill onto the countertop.
“Want a bite?” Mom held up a perfectly sliced chunk of watermelon. She didn’t hesitate to take a bite.
This is a look at a sweet summertime session with a mother and daughter—a day of enjoying summer’s candy, watermelon, and an evening among the lake.
I mainly followed them along in their evening. After a full day of work and school, these two took off on their own little adventures. No schedule, no plans, just enjoying a few of their favorite summer things.
