Derek + Morgan : Roanoke Wedding

Derek + Morgan had one of those wedding days where it rained on and off BUT at the perfect times. Since they chose to do a first look before the ceremony, we were able to do some portraits around the beautiful Grandin Area before the rain creeped back in. The evening ended with guests saying good bye to Derek + Morgan as sparklers lit up the summer night sky.

Some of my favorite moments:

– When Derek + Morgan did their first look there was a few minutes where their eyes barely left each other. It was like the world had stopped and they saw was each other.

– I think there could have been a high school reunion at their wedding. Most of the class of ’98 from Northside High School was there and it was awesome.

– Morgan and her father surprised everyone (even Derek) with a choreographed dance – it was amazing.

– Just about every time I saw Derek at the reception – he had a big grin on his face. Surrounded by friends and family while starting a new chapter with his best friend, I’m sure I could understand how he felt : )
